How To Reduce Side Effects Of Steroids

There is no doubt that anabolic steroids are effective in improving endurance and bodybuilding, but they come with several side effects. Common unwanted effects of anabolic steroid use include; severe acne breakouts, headaches, nausea, mood swings, irritability and increased aggressiveness. There are also serious negative effects, including; kidney and liver damage, high blood pressure and heart disease among others. The following are the best strategies for reducing the side effects:

i) Exercise Regularly

If you want to get the highest quality results without any adverse effects, you may want to exercise on a regular basis. Exercise and steroids go hand in hand.

ii) Drink Lots of Water

Water helps with digestion and ensures that the body operates efficiently. This means that it can help to flush out toxins from the body. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water daily throughout your bodybuilding program is recommended.

iii) Eat Well

You cannot expect to increase your muscle mass with exercise and steroids alone; you must also have a healthy balance diet to provide the body with all the nutrients it needs to grow muscles. Your diet should consist of plenty of carbs and proteins as well as fruits and vegetables. A healthy diet will ensure that the body recovers well from any adverse effects of steroid use.

iv) Consider Cycling

It is not safe to use steroids continuously for a period of months. If you do this, you can expect to experience the most adverse effects. Ideally, you should take steroids in cycles of 4-6 weeks each. In between the cycles, you should have breaks of 1-2 weeks. The breaks will give the body a chance to recover from the rigorous steroid cycle.

v) Post-Cycle Therapy

While giving the body time to recover is a great idea, the 2-week break may not be enough because the body does not heal that fast, at least not for everybody. To ensure that the body quickly recovers, you should consider going into post cycle therapy. This is just like cycling, but there are some medication a person must use to accelerate the recovery speed.

vi) Stacking

While some steroids are known to increase blood pressure, others are known to reduce blood pressure. Some steroids are also known to increase the cholesterol level in blood while others reduce the level of cholesterol. Combining these drugs, in what is normally called stacking, can help to reduce the negative effects of steroids while at the same time maximizing results.
