Linda, born and raised in Maplewood, New Jersey, studied art at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art. After graduating in 1968, she began her career in home furnishing textile design. Always enjoying many facets of art, Linda continued her studies throughout the years at the Fashion Institute of Technology, The New School, Parsons School of Design, Art Students League of New York, and Society of Scribes Ltd.
In 2007, Linda began a lifetime career change and has successfully finished taking classes at the New York Botanical Garden. In June, 2009 she will complete her project for the Botanical Illustration Certificate. From drawing in colored pencil or pen and ink to painting in watercolor, Linda s enjoyment of interpreting flowers and plants grew quickly. Even though her studio is in the heart of New York City and overlooks an urban landscape, her drawing table is a world of gardens. Complementing her work with skills in calligraphy, Linda s new career was born.
